| Gardening success for Abbeys |
| Abbeys Day Nursery entered the MK Citizen garden of the year competition (best school garden category) and have just heard that they have been awarded silver, as runners up in the category. Well done to the team at Abbeys and to Laura, Acorn's Outdoor Environment Officer. (August 2011) |

| We are delighted to announce that our MD, Zoe Raven, has reached the final of the Director of the Year award in the category of Companies up to 5m turnover. This is organised by the Institute of Directors, London and South East. We wish her luck at the final in March. (February 2011) |

| Acorn at The Willows now open! |
| Our new nursery Acorn at The Willows (on Fishermead, near Central Milton Keynes) opened on Tuesday 4th January. It has 40 places, offering full and part-time care for babies and children aged four months to four years, together with wraparound care for children attending the nursery class in The Willows School. | We are delighted to welcome to Acorn Laura Dawson, our new Outdoor Environment Officer. Laura will be working across the sites, to improve and develop the outdoor areas and her ideas will help to improve the environment for Acorn children. (September 2010) |

| The wheels on the bus can now go round and round! |
| Congratulations to our 4 new drivers, who have all successfully passed their driving test for D1 licences. Sarah from Castlethorpe, Hiroka from Shenley, and Jo and Zoe from Head Office, are all now qualified to drive the bus, so we look forward to being able to use it much more frequently. (July 2010) |

| Abbeys Inspection Report |
| Congratulations to Sharon and her team at Abbeys on a very good inspection report from Ofsted. They have been given an overall judgement of Good, with three areas being judged Outstanding. | New Bradwell now open! |
| Our new nursery opened after Easter, our seventh day nursery. It has 33 places, offering full and part-time care for babies and children aged four months to four years, together with wraparound childcare for the nursery class in New Bradwell school. We have our own building within the school grounds, and are able to offer a breakfast club and after-school club, plus a holiday playscheme which will be in the main school building and children's centre.
