Acorn Childcare began as a single nursery in 1989 in the village of Castlethorpe, where the company is still managed by the founder, Zoë Raven.

Acorn now runs seven nurseries in Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire, as well as a variety of out-of-school clubs and mobile crèche facilities and Zoë is supported by a friendly and professional team who all share her passion for providing the very best individual care for your child.

Acorn believes that smaller nurseries enable childcare with a more personal touch, so our nurseries average less than 40 places each. This means we can offer the flexibility and individuality of a homely setting, combined with the professionalism and facilities you’d expect from one of the larger nursery chains.

Acorn place a strong emphasis on training our staff to the highest standards. We have strong links with our sister organisation, Tall Oaks Training, which provides professional development and training for our team as well as for early years and childcare professionals working in other settings.
